‘No Ribs Removed!’–Mai Titi Clears Rumours After Second Liposuction

Zimbabwean socialite and comedian Mai Titi has undergone liposuction for a second time, four years after her first cosmetic procedure in 2022.

In a Facebook post shared this week, the outspoken personality explained that her recent absence from social media was due to the surgery.

She revealed that her blood pressure spiked following the procedure, prompting doctors to monitor her closely during recovery.

“So as you all know I have not been around much because I had my liposuction surgery,” Mai Titi wrote.

“I remember well my mom screaming, ‘Why did you remove your ribs?’ she said.

“I laughed and told her not to listen to Facebook rumours. I only removed too much fat on my tummy and thighs.”

This marks the second cosmetic procedure Mai Titi has publicly acknowledged.

In 2022, she revealed she had undergone liposuction and facial peeling in South Africa at a reported cost of around R50,000.

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery designed to remove excess fat from specific areas of the body to improve contour and shape.

It remains one of the most commonly performed aesthetic procedures worldwide.

Health experts caution that, while generally safe, liposuction carries risks such as elevated blood pressure, infection, and complications related to anesthesia.

Recovery often requires careful medical supervision, particularly for repeat procedures.
