Nigerian Man Declares Love for Wife on Billboard: “You Are My Forever” – A newly married Nigerian man, Joseph Don, has rented out a billboard to profess his love for his wife, Ugonna Attiah.
The couple recently tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony this July, and Joseph wasted no time in making good on a promise he had made over a year ago.
On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, he took to Facebook to share a photo of the billboard, which featured the couple’s traditional wedding photos along with the bold declaration: “You are my forever.”
Joseph revealed in his post that the idea had started as a casual remark during their friendship.
“A little over a year ago, I told my wife—who was just a friend at the time—‘Las las na me go marry you.’ She replied, ‘God forbid,’ but not because she hated me. We were really good friends, and it just seemed out of place then,” he shared.
He added that he had also told her he would one day rent a billboard after marrying her—a promise she laughed off, never expecting it to happen.
Now, that promise has been fulfilled.
“She didn’t believe me,” Joseph wrote. “But I did it. I’ll show you her reaction tomorrow.”
The billboard has since gone viral, earning admiration from social media users who praised the romantic gesture and the couple’s journey from friendship to forever.
