Zimbabwean content creator Ritz has finally apologised to Mai Titi following weeks of backlash over comments she made regarding the Mai Jeremaya saga.
The controversy erupted when Ritz suggested that Mai Titi, a well-known advocate for women, should provide accommodation for Mai Jeremaya, who was facing personal struggles.
Mai Jeremaya, a socialite, was allegedly deceived and assaulted by two men under false pretenses, triggering widespread outrage.
Many rallied behind her, while Mai Titi—renowned for advocating for women in distress—stepped in to offer emotional support.
However, Ritz’s statement—suggesting that Mai Titi should provide housing for Mai Jeremaya since she owned multiple properties—sparked criticism online.
Many accused Ritz of being insensitive and imposing unrealistic expectations on Mai Titi.
Initially, Ritz stood by her remarks, arguing that her intentions were genuine despite growing backlash.
However, as the controversy gained momentum, she eventually released an emotional apology video, acknowledging that she may have gone too far.
