Mysterious Voices & Ghostly Soccer Matches Haunt Dema Home – A house in Sabhuku Chinamano, Dema, under Chief Seke’s area, has become the center of eerie occurrences, with residents claiming to hear voices from unseen beings and witnessing ghostly soccer matches on the rooftop.
The house, constructed in modern fashion, is said to have been built over an old burial ground. According to locals, the spirits of the deceased are demanding that their graves be properly restored.
The property is near a newly developed business area known as “Booster,” and reports suggest that at night, strange voices echo from inside, keeping its occupants on edge.
According to Kwayedza, the woman residing there, identified as Mai Sofia Gukuta Jakarasi (54), claims she is frequently awakened by ghostly voices instructing her to fix the graves beneath the house.

Adding to the mystery, a nearby plot with visible graves has its own chilling tale. Young men who were digging a well reportedly encountered a floating skeleton that spoke to them, prompting them to flee in terror.
Local elder Karikoga Dhiriza (73), a trusted figure in Chief Seke’s community, confirmed the strange events, saying the house is uninhabitable due to the disturbances.
“This situation has shocked the entire Dema area. The woman living in that house told me she hears voices at night saying, ‘We were buried here, and we need our graves to be restored.’ She wakes up in fright, recalling hearing about seven grave sites, but when she regains full awareness, there’s no one in sight,” Dhiriza explained.
He further added that mysterious soccer games seem to take place on the rooftop, with the sound of balls bouncing, whistles blowing, and cheers—yet no one is ever seen playing.
When Kwayedza visited the site last Friday, Mai Jakarasi was away at a spiritual gathering, reportedly seeking help for her supernatural troubles. However, speaking later by phone, she confirmed her harrowing experience.
“I am tormented daily by these ghosts. They speak to me and demand that their graves be restored. This house was built over their resting place, and they are not at peace. At night, I hear a soccer game happening on the roof, but no one is there,” she lamented.
The owners of the house remain unidentified, and their whereabouts are unknown.
