Murewa Woman Att@cks Husband with a Machete Over Infidelity Allegations – A disturbing incident has been reported in Chinake Village, Ward 16 under Chief Mangwende, where a man was viciously att@cked by his wife with a machete after being accused of infidelity.

The victim, identified as Tirivashe Chitera, allegedly suffered serious injuries after his wife assaulted him late at night, suspecting that he was involved in an extramarital affair — maintaining “one leg in the home and one outside,” as locals put it.

According to neighbours, the couple was known for constant arguments and fights.

The latest dispute reportedly began on the afternoon of the previous day and escalated later that night.

In a fit of rage, the wife is said to have picked up a machete and struck her husband severely as reported by Murewa Times.

Realizing the situation had turned dangerous, she allegedly injured herself on the arm with the same weapon to make it appear as though both were hurt in the fight.

Both husband and wife are currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital and have been issued with medical reports.

Community members are being urged to seek mediation or report domestic disputes to the police instead of resorting to violence.
