Mukumbura Bus Mayhem: Drunk Passenger Stabbed After Forcing Entry

A man was fatally stabbed after a heated dispute over boarding a bus at Mukumbura Business Centre turned violent.
The victim, Celebrity Musinahama from Rukodzi Village in Dotito, had attempted to enter a parked bus while intoxicated, accusing another passenger of stealing his money and causing a scene.
Robert Madziwa (35), angered by the disturbance, pushed Musinahama off the bus.
Moments later, Musinahama returned aggressively, trying to force his way back in.
Madziwa then retrieved a knife hidden inside the vehicle and stabbed him on the left side of the neck, causing severe bleeding before the victim collapsed.
The driver, Timothy Mukaro, rushed Musinahama to Mukumbura Hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Trust Dzamara reported the incident to ZRP Mukumbura, leading to Madziwa’s arrest on murder charges.
According to Zimquik News, the incident has raised alarm over how minor disputes in public spaces can escalate into deadly confrontations.
Acting provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Lucy Chigwenhese urged citizens to seek peaceful solutions.
“People should resolve conflicts peacefully or approach the police instead of taking the law into their own hands,” she said.
