Mother on the run:Newborn’s life cut short in toilet horror

NORTON- Annie Fernando (41) is being hunted by police in Norton for allegedly killing her newborn baby boy, found dead in a Blair toilet at Malham Farm, Mhondoro, on November 23.

According to a statement posted on X, police in Norton are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Fernando, who is being sought in connection with a case of infanticide.

Fernando allegedly gave birth to a baby boy on November 23, 2024, at Malham Farm in Mhondoro and later threw the baby into a Blair toilet.

Police have since retrieved the baby’s body from the toilet and taken it to a mortuary at a hospital in Norton.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding Fernando’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
