Moses Chunga and Charles Mabika Receive Lavish Gifts from Wicknell Chivayo
Businessman Wicknell Chivayo continues his generosity streak, this time honoring two giants of Zimbabwean football with luxury vehicles. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Chivayo announced his donation of two brand-new 2024 Toyota Fortuner 4×4 SUVs, valued at $151,000, to Moses “Bambo” Chunga and Charles “CNN” Mabika.
Chivayo described the duo as “phenomenal individuals” who have shaped Zimbabwe’s football landscape and inspired countless fans, including himself.
Moses Chunga, the celebrated midfielder and trailblazer, was praised for his dazzling talent and groundbreaking success as one of Zimbabwe’s first players to shine on the international stage in Belgium. Chivayo described Chunga’s legacy at Dynamos Football Club as unparalleled, saying, “Chunga didn’t just play football, he REDEFINED it.”
Equally celebrated was Charles Mabika, affectionately known as “CNN,” whose legendary commentary has made him the voice of Zimbabwean football for decades. Chivayo reminisced about imitating Mabika’s iconic voice as a child, calling him a unifying figure whose words turned ordinary matches into grand spectacles.
Chivayo’s post directed the legends to collect their brand-new rides at Faramatsi Motors, stating, “This is my SMALL gesture of saying THANK YOU for inspiring not just ME but an ENTIRE nation of football lovers.”
