Mob Beats Man to Death, Mutilates His Genitals, and Drags Body Through Streets After Allegedly Raping Disabled Woman
INDONESIA: A tragic incident unfolded in Gowa, Indonesia, where a man was brutally lynched by a mob after being accused of raping a disabled woman. The victim, known as T, was found severely injured on November 30, igniting outrage in the community.
The suspect, identified as Ali, 47, initially escaped the villagers’ anger by hiding in a relative’s home and later in a nearby forest. However, he was captured on December 3 when he left the woods in search of food. Recognized for his past crimes, including theft, he was quickly overpowered by the mob.
Videos posted online show the violent scene as Ali was beaten with sticks, stones, and machetes. Disturbingly, the mob mutilated his body before parading it through the streets, celebrating what they deemed justice.
Local police were notified, and Gowa Police Chief Muhammad Aldy Sulaeman confirmed the situation was under control. He stated that investigations would determine the facts surrounding the incident while pictures and videos of the mob’s actions circulated widely.
