Mo Salah Seeks New Three-Year Contract at Liverpool

In a bid to remain at Liverpool, star forward Mo Salah is reportedly demanding a lucrative new three-year contract.

As the club prioritizes securing its key players, Salah, along with Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, is set to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Liverpool has already finalized a new deal with defender Jarell Quansah and is in advanced talks with Ibrahima Konate. However, fans are most eager to see the futures of Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold resolved.

According to a report from Football Insider, Salah is aiming for a substantial wage increase as part of his new terms, seeking a contract extension that would keep him at Anfield until June 2027 for long-term security.

Despite Salah’s impressive form this season—he has scored seven goals and provided six assists in just 11 matches—questions remain about whether Liverpool will meet his financial demands.

At 32 years old, Salah is approaching the twilight of his career, which may influence the club’s offer.

To manage their finances, Liverpool might propose maintaining Salah’s current salary or even a slight reduction, potentially leading to several negotiation rounds before reaching a consensus.

Time is of the essence for Liverpool, as Salah will be eligible to discuss a pre-contract with other clubs starting January 1, paving the way for a possible free transfer next summer.

There have been unconfirmed reports suggesting Salah may have already agreed to join a Saudi club at the end of the season.

However, Liverpool is reportedly “unconcerned” by these claims and believes they still have a strong chance of securing the iconic forward’s future at the club.
