Married Men Clash in Court Over Workplace Girlfriend

Married Men Clash in Court Over Workplace Girlfriend -The Chelstone Local Court in Zambia has heard a case involving two married men who dragged each other to court following a dispute over a woman at their workplace.

The matter involves Moses Chirwa (35), of Chelstone, who sued Luckson Kasapu (36), of Mtendere East, seeking compensation for insults allegedly directed at him and his parents during a confrontation on November 22.

Appearing before Magistrate Charity Milambo, Chirwa told the court that tensions arose after Kasapu claimed that a female colleague was his girlfriend, leading to a heated exchange between the two men at work.

“I am 35 years old. I stay in Chelstone and work as a security guard. I know Luckson through work; he is my neighbour at the workplace,” Chirwa told the court. “The companies we work for operate next to each other.”

Chirwa further alleged that during the argument, Kasapu insulted his parents, prompting him to seek legal recourse.

The court heard that both men are married, a fact that added to the complexity of the dispute. Magistrate Milambo adjourned the matter to a later date to allow for further submissions and possible witness testimonies.
