Man hit by car after two su!c!de attempts – A well-known shoemaker from Rimuka, Kadoma, Louis Mugariri, tr!gically lost his life on Tuesday evening after being run over by a truck.
This came after he had unsuccessfully attempted su!c!de twice earlier that same day.
Mugariri, popularly known as Dread Chipo, was 46 years old.
His first su!c!de attempt involved crawling under a fuel tanker that was about to offload fuel at a service station.

Fortunately, bystanders intervened just in time, preventing the truck from running over him.
Undeterred, he made a second attempt by positioning himself under a stationary bus at a rank in the town.
His plan was to wait until the bus moved, ensuring he would be crushed beneath it.
However, alert onlookers quickly informed the driver, who was able to avoid the tragedy.
As Mugariri tried to flee from the scene, he was struck by a passing truck.
“He bled profusely from his nose and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward,” said a witness at the scene.
Police arrived and transported his body to the mortuary.
Mugariri was known to operate his shoemaking business at Machipisa Shopping Centre, near The Star Bar.
