Liverpool Nears Premier League Title as Key Players Return for Leicester Clash

Liverpool heads into Sunday’s Premier League showdown against Leicester City at King Power Stadium, knowing victory would take them within touching distance of the title.

The Reds currently hold a 13-point lead over Arsenal, and if they extend that gap to 16 points by the end of the weekend, they will officially be crowned champions.

Manager Arne Slot remains focused as Liverpool inches toward the championship. His squad has received a boost, with Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to training after recovering from a March ankle injury.

Although he isn’t match-fit to start, he is likely to be among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, Conor Bradley, who recently made his comeback, is expected to feature but may not complete the full match.

Liverpool’s attack is strengthened by Darwin Nunez’s return after illness sidelined him last week. However, Joe Gomez remains unavailable, continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury suffered in February.

The defender is working toward full fitness and could return before the season concludes.

Liverpool takes on Leicester City at King Power Stadium on Sunday, April 20, 2025, kicking off at 17:30 local time.

With a near full-strength squad and the title in sight, Liverpool looks poised to take a decisive step toward Premier League glory this weekend.
