“We are building a logistic hub in Imota, the biggest in this part of the world. This will allow us to track what comes into Lagos,” Hamzat stated. “Currently, Lagos slaughters around 3,000 cows every day. We need to better track their origins and ensure safety. Today, if any issues arise, our veterinary doctors handle them by slaughtering and burning the affected cows. But we need to improve this process.”
Additionally, Hamzat revealed plans to stockpile grains sufficient for nine months to ensure food security for Lagos citizens.
