Kapfupi’s Movie Set to Premiere on Valentine’s Day

Comedy star Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima, who is facing personal difficulties in his marriage to Precious “Mai Ngaa” Kabrito, has some exciting news.

His new film, “Tambu: The Daughter of the Soil,” will premiere on Valentine’s Day at Ster-Kinekor Joina City in Harare.

Kapfupi takes on the leading role in the film, marking a significant achievement in his career. This dream became a reality with the help of Caroline Nyaka-Chana, a talented filmmaker based in Ireland.

The premiere not only celebrates Kapfupi’s journey but also highlights the resilience and creativity of the Zimbabwean entertainment scene.

Nyaka-Chana shared her excitement about the premiere and noted that they have made improvements based on feedback from a recent private screening at Reps Theatre.

“We are ready for the premiere on February 14,” she said. “We have received positive responses and made changes to meet expectations. With a strong storyline and familiar characters, we hope many people will enjoy it.”

Nyaka-Chana also mentioned that Kapfupi deserves support during this tough time, emphasizing the importance of community care amidst his personal challenges, Herald reports.

She has a history of working with Kapfupi and wanted to provide him with a platform to shine.

The film also stars well-known actors like Cody “Rank Marshall” Tinker, Sabhuku Aphiri, and Darlington “Dhadza D” Zhanje, with Nyaka-Chana playing the role of Tambu.

“This film has been produced with great attention to detail, including lighting, sound, and costumes,” she added. “It truly captures the essence of the story and is set to impress audiences.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating Kapfupi’s return, reminiscing about his rise to fame in the early 2000s. Nyaka-Chana, who has worked on international films, recently returned to Zimbabwe to collaborate with Kapfupi, praising his professionalism.

Kapfupi’s manager, Sam Manjalima, expressed gratitude for the support his brother continues to receive.

“It’s heartwarming to see that people still appreciate Kapfupi’s talent and hard work, especially as he navigates through challenges.”

As the premiere date approaches, excitement builds for “Tambu: The Daughter of the Soil,” set to shine a spotlight on Kapfupi and his contributions to the entertainment industry.
