Johannesburg to launch R10 billion beach living

Who needs to leave Johannesburg for Durban or Cape Town when a beach experience can be built? Check out this development.

A new beach house experience is coming to Johannesburg, thanks to Balwin Properties’ R10 billion developement project.

According to Businesstech, the developement will present a man-made beach that includes a 3-hectare Crystal Lagoon, with the the unveiling expected in 2028.

The report added to confirm that Johannesburg won’t be the first city in Gauteng to offer this innnovation. Balwin Properties already has a clearwater lagoon in Blyde, Tshwane East.

“Munyaka will comprise 5,178 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, some of which are lagoon and beach facing,” the report said.

In addition to Balwin’s Classic offering, Lifestyle apartments and two ultra-luxurious penthouse apartments have been constructed above the lifestyle centre, offering spectacular views of the lagoon and the city skyline.

The report added to reveal that interested Johannesburg resident can expect to between between R989,900 and R3 million for the apartments.

“All apartments are fibre-ready, and include a Scandinavian-style kitchen, eco-friendly appliances, a balcony for outdoor entertainment and pre-paid water and electricity meters,” the report added.
