JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla said officers attended to the incident immediately.  “It is alleged that the truck had lost its load which was alcohol, and members of the public started looting the alcohol which had fallen off the truck.

“It was further alleged that the truck driver left the scene before the officers arrived and at the present moment it’s unknown what caused the truck to lose its load,” said Fihla.

“Great work done by JMPD region A operations officers at William Nicol Drive and N1 where a truck lost its load. Officers went an extra mile and cleaned the road,” said JMPD.
