Jah Prayzah Claps Back at Critics with Fiery New Track ‘Sori’ Award-winning

Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah has hit back at his critics in a powerful new song titled Sori.

Released on 3 May 2025 as part of his latest album Ndini Mukudzeyi, the track serves as a direct response to persistent online trolls who have criticized him over his career moves and affiliations.

Jah Prayzah has often been the subject of harsh social media commentary, from comparisons to fellow artist Winky D to backlash over his praise for businessman Wicknell Chivayo.

In January 2025, after expressing his gratitude to Chivayo, the musician faced a wave of online mockery.

Surprisingly, Chivayo responded by gifting him US$150,000, symbolizing US$10 for each of the 15,000 negative comments and later presented him with a 2024 Range Rover Sport worth over US$85,000.

Instead of engaging in online disputes, Jah Prayzah chose the studio to send his message. Sori is a lyrically charged track that confronts his detractors head-on, using sharp, witty lines to highlight their bitterness and envy.

In one of his most striking verses, he greets his critics with the bold statement, “Makadiniko vavengi vangu, Ndongoti nditi kwaziwai.”

The song’s chorus further challenges haters to reveal themselves, as he mockingly asks how they feel watching his success while they struggle.

With soaring vocals and undeniable energy, Jah Prayzah makes it clear that negativity won’t shake his determination.

Adding to the moment, Jah Prayzah officially launched his album Ndini Mukudzeyi in front of thousands of fans at Old Hararians Sports Club on 3 May 2025.

He made a dramatic entrance, rising from beneath the stage dressed in all white, symbolizing a fresh start.

Despite some ticketing glitches that caused delays, the event was a massive success, with Jah Prayzah performing new songs such as Shuga, Necessary, Mandionei and Ibvo.

According to iHarare News, fans have applauded Sori, praising Jah Prayzah for taking a classy yet unapologetic approach to addressing criticism.

Many listeners view the song as both a personal reflection and a universal anthem for overcoming negativity.

Among those in attendance was prominent talk show host Mai Rebecca Chisamba, who was the guest of honor at the launch.

She commended Jah Prayzah for his influence in society, acknowledging his ability to unite people through music.

With Ndini Mukudzeyi already making waves, Jah Prayzah continues to cement his status as one of Zimbabwe’s most influential artists, proving that he can turn controversy into creative fuel.
