IShowSpeed Reveals He Was Kicked Out by His Mother Over Streaming Dreams – American YouTuber and online streamer IShowSpeed has opened up about a difficult chapter in his life, revealing that his dedication to content creation once led to his mother kicking him out of the house.

Speaking during a recent interaction with fans, the global internet sensation said his mother gave him an ultimatum while he was still a teenager — stop streaming or leave her home. At the time, IShowSpeed was still growing his channel and had a relatively small following of about 2,000 subscribers.

“My mom told me to quit or leave. She said you can’t do this in my house, and I was like, I’m out,” he explained. Despite the uncertainty, IShowSpeed said he refused to abandon streaming, insisting that once he commits to something, he does not quit easily.

The disagreement forced him to move out, and he relocated to Detroit to live with his father. Unlike his mother, his father supported his passion and allowed him to continue streaming without restrictions.

“My dad didn’t really care. My dad let me. Shout out to my dad,” he said.

IShowSpeed added that although the situation was painful, he holds no resentment towards his mother. He explained that she did not fully understand what streaming involved at the time and was concerned about the noise and disruption caused by his energetic and loud streaming style.

“Shout out to my mom too. I still love my mom. She didn’t know what was going on,” he said.

After moving to Detroit, IShowSpeed continued streaming consistently, a decision that eventually paid off as he rose to international fame.

Today, he is one of the most recognisable online personalities in the world, known for his high-energy content and massive global following.
