‘I Lost Four Babies’—Mutare Woman Haunted by Goblin Spirit

A 26-year-old woman from Mutare, Priviledge Jozi, claims she has suffered four consecutive miscarriages, each occurring at exactly three months.

She believes the cause is spiritual—a jealous “goblin husband” allegedly bonded to her since childhood, sabotaging her pregnancies and destabilizing her marriage.

Jozi says the miscarriages have continued despite undergoing multiple medical procedures, leaving her emotionally drained and desperate for answers.

“I have suffered four miscarriages, all occurring at three months, despite doctors assuring me that I am fine.

“They have performed procedures to clean my womb, and even conducted a cervical stitch, yet I continue to lose my babies,” Jozi explained.

Despite medical efforts—including cervical cerclage, a procedure used to reinforce a weakened cervix—Jozi insists her condition is not physical but rooted in a supernatural bond.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, she turned to traditional healers who claimed her womb was spiritually tied to a male goblin.

“They told me that the issue is spiritual in nature. Apparently, I was unknowingly ‘married off’ to a male goblin, and this entity is consumed by jealousy towards my husband and our offspring,” she revealed.

Jozi believes the spiritual bond began in 2010 and has since manifested through disturbing physical symptoms and recurring dreams.

“I have stomach problems whereby I feel so hot in my stomach all year round except during my period days. I now crave period days because that is the only time I am fine.

“Prophets, however, told me that there is a snake in my stomach causing all the pain I am suffering from,” she shared.

Her dreams, she says, have grown increasingly unsettling.

“When asleep, I will be intimate with a man, whom I now know as my ‘goblin husband’. I have insomnia for two or three days, and when I eventually sleep, I will be intimate with a very tall man in my dreams.

“I do not see his face, but his complexion is dark,” Jozi recounted.

She also described visions of two abnormally short boys with white heads and no teeth who appear before she travels.

“They resemble elderly dwarfs. Sometimes I dream breastfeeding a child, and when I wake up, my breasts would be swollen,” she added.

Jozi believes these figures are spiritual messengers, warning her of unseen forces interfering with her life.

These experiences have strained her marriage, leading her husband’s family to send her back to her father’s home.

“My father and father-in-law had a fierce dispute. My father suggested consulting healers, which would require US$120.

“However, my husband rejected the suggestion. My husband’s attitude towards me has shifted dramatically – he no longer provides for me, even basic necessities like food,” she noted.

Seeking spiritual help without consultation fees, Jozi was told the goblin is linked to an avenging spirit from her family’s past.

“Healers have informed me that this ‘goblin’ is connected to an avenging spirit from our family’s past, and that I was unknowingly ‘married off’ to it. I yearn to be free from this affliction,” she pleaded.

She recounted more disturbing dreams.

“I often dream chasing a man, only for him to vanish in a cemetery. Other times, I dream of attending a funeral, feeling as though the deceased is being buried on top of me.

“These experiences have reinforced my belief that I am spiritually married. I feel trapped,” Jozi confessed.

Jozi’s family relationships have also deteriorated. Her father, Tickey Jozi, expressed frustration over her decision to speak to the media.

“My daughter has disrespected me by taking this matter to the Press. She does not get along with other family members, yet she confides in you. What are we supposed to do with such a child?” he said.

He claimed the family had tried to support her but described her as violent and estranged from relatives.

“She physically and verbally fights everyone. She is not on good terms with her mother, bites her stepmother, hates her aunts, and refuses to communicate with her brothers,” he added, noting that she had blocked his phone number.

“We want to help her, but it seems she is not prepared to accept that help,” he concluded.

Jozi says she remains desperate for answers and fears her marriage may collapse entirely.

“I urgently need help before my marriage collapses,” she said.
