Holy Ten Released on US$500 Bail, Case Postponed to August 7 –  Zimbabwean hip-hop artist Mukudzei Chitsama, popularly known as Holy Ten, has been granted US$500 bail after appearing before a Harare magistrate in connection with an alleged rape case involving a 14-year-old complainant.

Harare Magistrate Jesse Kufa released the musician on bail after the State did not oppose the application, saying further investigations are still ununderway.

The prosecution told the court that investigators are awaiting a forensic report and documents confirming the complainant’s age.

As part of his bail conditions, Holy Ten must report to the police every Friday, surrender his passport, refrain from interfering with witnesses, and continue residing at his listed address.

The matter was remanded to August 7 for further proceedings.

Holy Ten has not been convicted of any offence, and the case remains before the courts.
