Harare Man Killed Over Alleged Wheelbarrow Theft, Police Hunt Suspect

HARARE – Police in Harare are investigating a suspected murder after a 25-year-old man was fatally assaulted in Damafalls during a dispute over a stolen wheelbarrow.
The incident occurred on 15 June 2025, and the suspect—only identified as Godwin, alias “Bogus”—remains at large.
In a statement shared on its official Twitter account, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the suspect confronted the victim, Cyprian Muradzi, at his home and accused him of theft.
Moments later, Bogus allegedly launched a violent attack, striking Muradzi repeatedly in the head with open hands and booted feet.
Muradzi sustained critical head injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after the assault.
A manhunt is under way, and authorities are appealing to the public for assistance.
“Anyone who may have knowledge of the suspect’s location should report at any nearest police station,” ZRP said.
