Gospel Music Dispute Turns Deadly in Bottle Store

A night meant for drinks and chill vibes turned tragic after a fight over gospel music exploded into violence at a bottle store in Solomio Park.

It all started like a typical evening — beers, snooker, and good company. But things went left when the playlist refused to “repent” from gospel songs. Some patrons clearly didn’t come to pray — they came to vibe.

A 30-year-old man, Tendai Mubiya, was stabbed and died after an argument broke out over the music choice. The suspect, Trymore Ndebele (35), allegedly stabbed him once in the neck during the chaos.
And it didn’t end there — the bar owner, Luckmore Kazingizi (28), and another man, Collen Tomu (30), were also stabbed and rushed to hospital. They are currently receiving treatment.
According to witnesses, the drama began when people complained that the DJ (armed with a phone and Bluetooth) was playing only gospel tracks. Trymore and his friend Peace Dube (25), who were controlling the music, briefly disconnected and stepped outside — maybe to “consult the playlist gods.”

But when they came back, instead of changing the song… they changed the mood completely.
A fight broke out, quickly turning into a full-blown stabbing incident. Patrons eventually managed to restrain the suspects, and both Trymore and Peace were arrested.
