Ghana Serial Murd€r Suspect Confesses to K!lling & ‘Eating’ 15 People Since 2021 – A 30-year-old man identified as Sherif Abdulai has confessed to k!lling 15 people across Ghana’s Upper West Region since 2021, following his arrest by the Upper West Regional Police Command.
Police apprehended Abdulai at Adabiya, a suburb of Wa, after weeks of coordinated intelligence operations.
His arrest came after the earlier capture of another suspect, Mahamuda Lamin (25), in connection with the murd£r of a night watchman, Mr. Yahaya Issah, at Dobile near Wa New Market.
According to ACP Francis Yiribarie, the Regional Police Commander, the suspect — an ex-convict — admitted responsibility for a series of k!llings targeting watchmen and mentally challenged individuals.

“During questioning, the suspect confessed to k!lling 15 people in Wa Municipality since 2021,” ACP Yiribarie told reporters. “He also admitted to killing three madmen and two watchmen at Bole, one madman in Banda Nkwanta, and a madwoman in Bamboi.”
Investigations revealed that Abdulai was found with items belonging to his latest victim, including a Villoan mobile phone and a solar-powered radio.
A subsequent search led to the recovery of a cutlass, bicycle, and sack containing meat, all suspected to be linked to his crimes.
“We are conducting forensic tests on the items recovered to determine the full extent of his crimes,” ACP Yiribarie said, commending the public for their cooperation.
Police confirmed that Abdulai’s accomplice, Mahamuda Lamin, has been remanded by the Wa Magistrate Court until October 21, 2025, as investigations continue.
