Fourth Wife Ends Marriage After Husband’s Affair with Sister & Married Friend

Fourth Wife Ends Marriage After Husband’s Affair with Sister & Married Friend – A 33-year-old Domboshava businesswoman, Judith Maruta, has separated from her husband, Kefas Mushore (50), following a series of domestic disputes stemming from allegations of infidelity involving close family members and acquaintances.
Maruta, who was the fourth wife in a polygamous union, claims that her marriage broke down after discovering that Mushore was involved in relationships with her cousin, Tabeth Banda, as well as a married friend, Primrose Mutare.
According to H Metro, the situation became untenable as her husband allegedly expanded his relationships beyond his existing wives.
Court records indicate that Mutare, who was previously married to Mushore’s cousin, Success Mavhunga, is now regarded as his fifth wife.
The developments have intensified tensions within the extended family.
Following the couple’s separation, Maruta filed for maintenance for their two minor children. The matter is set to be heard before Domboshava magistrate Alfred Chinembiri, where an application for an upward variation of maintenance to US$35 per child will be considered.
The same court previously handled a related criminal matter in which Maruta was convicted after stabbing Mushore during a domestic altercation.
She was fined US$500 and ordered to pay US$563 in restitution for damages to property.
In her account, Maruta stated that the incident followed prolonged disputes and emotional distress linked to her husband’s alleged relationships.
“I could not accept a situation where my husband was involved with my relative and a married acquaintance,” she said.
After the incident, Mushore reportedly obtained a protection order against Maruta and is said to have demanded compensation, alleging injury from the altercation.
Maruta expressed regret over entering the polygamous marriage, claiming she lost significant personal assets, including properties and a vehicle, during the course of the relationship.
Tabeth Banda, however, acknowledged receiving financial support from Mushore, citing personal circumstances, including her husband’s absence abroad.
She confirmed the relationship and indicated that financial assistance played a role in her involvement.
