Former Mabvuku Primas Academy Bursar Wanted For Fraud – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is actively searching for Fadzai Charlene Mubata, a former bursar at Primas Academy in Mabvuku, Harare, who is wanted in connection with a significant case of fraud and theft of school funds.
According to police investigations, Mubata allegedly exploited her position by operating a dual-receipt system, issuing official receipts for some transactions while using an unofficial receipt book to misappropriate school fees and other payments made by parents.
This scheme reportedly enabled her to pocket large sums of money under false pretenses while presenting parents with fraudulent proof of payment.
In a more serious allegation, Mubata is accused of diverting funds intended for ZIMSEC November 2025 examination fees.

Authorities report that she directed unsuspecting parents to deposit examination fees into her personal Ecocash account and another bank account believed to be registered in her father’s name.
As a result, several students were left unregistered or in limbo regarding their exam status.
The fraudulent activity came to light following multiple complaints from concerned parents about missing payments and irregularities in their children’s exam registrations.
A subsequent financial audit conducted by Primas Academy uncovered significant shortfalls in the school’s accounts, prompting the institution to file an official police report.
Mubata has since fled her post and is now on the run. Authorities suspect she may have fled Zimbabwe and is currently hiding in South Africa.
A formal wanted notice has been issued by the ZRP, and an appeal has been made to the public for assistance in locating her.
