“I Was Sent By ED” – Claims Man Caught Red-Handed In Restricted Area

A MAN believed to have a mental health problem who was arrested for trespassing into Air Zimbabwe premises told the court that he was instructed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to enter the area.

Guide Gwizo (33) appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi who remanded him to September 18 for routine remand after medical examination.

Prosecutor Zebediah Bofu said on September 2 this year, at around 7am, Gwizo was found loitering on Air Zimbabwe premises, which is a prohibited area to members of the public.

He said Gwizo entered the premises through a turnstile gate.

Gwizo was approached by security personnel on the premises who told him that he was prohibited to enter the area.

He, however, reportedly told the security personnel that he was under instruction from Mnangagwa to visit the place.

Gwizo also reportedly told security that Mnangagwa wanted him to board the presidential plane so that they could travel together to Cape Town, South Africa.
