Family of Deceased Woman Says Suspected Husband’s Relatives Have Not Offered Condolences After Triple Deaths – The family of the late Nothabo Zandile Tshuma says it is disappointed that relatives of Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma have not visited to offer condolences or apologise following the deaths of Nothabo and her two daughters.

Speaking during the funeral service in Bulawayo on Tuesday, Dr Ntsika Dakamela, representing the Magonya family and speaking on behalf of the Khumalo family, said they had expected the Tshuma family to visit in keeping with cultural traditions, but no such gesture had been made.

“We expected the Tshuma family to come and express their condolences and remorse in line with our traditions, but that has not happened,” said Dr Dakamela.

Nothabo, 42, and her daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5, were laid to rest at Luveve Cemetery after a church service at Lobengula Brethren in Christ Church.

The three were found dead at their home in Great Denham, near Bedford in the United Kingdom, on July 6. An inquest heard that they died from head injuries.

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, remains in custody in South Africa after being arrested in Johannesburg.

He is facing charges related to the alleged possession of an illegal firearm and is also wanted by authorities in the United Kingdom in connection with the deaths.

Earlier, family spokesperson Leon Khumalo thanked relatives, friends, church members, colleagues and members of the public for the support they had shown during the family’s difficult time.

“This has been an unbearably painful journey for our family,” Khumalo said.

“We sincerely thank everyone who has stood with us through your prayers, messages, visits, kindness and unwavering support during one of the darkest periods of our lives.”

Investigations into the deaths are continuing.
