Elderly Woman (85) Arrested For Running Drug Den

Police arrested an 85-year-old woman in Ekurhuleni for possessing and potentially dealing illicit substances. Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, spokeswoman for the Ekurhuleni Metro Police, stated that on Friday, 26 July, officers acted on a tip-off about suspected drug activities at a house in Greenfield, Eden Park.

“The officers visited the house, and the elderly South African woman allowed them entry to search the premises,” Thepa said.

During the search, officers found 280 Mandrax tablets, 21 packets of crystal meth, and 17 packets of cat. They took the elderly suspect to the Eden Park Police Station, where she faces charges of possession and potential dealing of illicit substances.
