Drunk in Love Budiriro Teen Hangs Self with Zambia – A budding romance turned tr@gic in Budiriro last week, when 14-year-old Alisha Simango, a Form One student, took her own life after being heartbroken by the boy she loved — the school’s headboy.
The teenager, described by neighbours as quiet and respectful, was found hanged in her family’s bathroom early Friday morning as reported by The Herald.
Alisha had fallen in love with the headboy, whom she trusted deeply. But her world came crashing down when she discovered he was ch£ating on her — with none other than the girl she despised the most at school.
According to entries found in her personal diary, the final blow came after she witnessed the pair k¡ssing on Wednesday, just two days before her d£ath.
“This girl has never liked me, and now she’s the one he chooses?” Alisha wrote, expressing a deep sense of betrayal. “I don’t know who to trust anymore… only God hears me now.”

Alisha’s raw, emotional diary reveals a tormented inner world. She spoke of relentless crying, school pressure, and isolation. “There is so much happening in my life every night. I am always crying. I wish someone was just there to comfort me,” one entry read.
Her father, Mr. Simango, said he never imagined his daughter was battling such heavy emotional distress. “She came to heat water in my room to prepare for school. I told her to use cold water since the stove wasn’t working,” he recalled. “She said she’d let me know when she finished bathing, but she never came back. When I went to the bathroom, I found her gone.”

Beyond the heartbreak, there were other pressures too. Days before her death, Alisha had asked her father for US$30 for school fees. He had assured her it would be available by Saturday. On Thursday, she asked again, but he gave the same answer — unaware it might be weighing on her.
Now the youngest of four siblings, Alisha lies in wait for burial. Her grieving mother has requested a post-mortem to confirm the exact cause of death before funeral arrangements proceed.
