Dorcas Moyo Earns Second Clima Africa Gospel Award Nomination

Zimbabwean gospel artist Dorcas Moyo has secured her second nomination at the 2025 Clima Africa Awards, a prestigious event recognizing individuals and organizations impacting music, leadership, and global citizenship.
Moyo’s latest nomination follows her 2024 victory, where she won the Africa Female Gospel Artiste of the Year award, making history as the first Zimbabwean recipient of the honor.
This year, she is competing against top gospel artists across the continent, including Winnie Mashaba, Janet Otieno, Chinyere Udoma, Sarah Apekeola and Azwi Kokela.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 5, 2025, at The Maslow Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Voting will be conducted between July 1 and August 30, 2025, through the official Clima Africa website.
According to The Herald, Moyo expressed deep gratitude for the nomination, stating that it reflects her dedication to gospel music and her commitment to international recognition.
“Winning this award will further strengthen one of our strategic pillars, which is to gain international recognition.
While I will celebrate, it also places me under greater responsibility to reach even greater heights in line with our mantra: Higher still, higher,” Moyo said.
The Clima Africa Awards continue to celebrate gospel artists across the continent, with 26 voting categories dedicated to gospel music, alongside special recognitions for impact makers and honorary awards for gospel legends.
