Dolly Parton cancels Las Vegas residency due to health issues

Dolly Parton has cancelled her upcoming Las Vegas residency while she continues treatment for health issues.
In a statement shared on her social media accounts, the 80-year-old country icon said she is “responding really well to meds and treatments” and “improving every day,” attributing her situation to a long-running battle with kidney stones.
Parton had previously delayed her six-show engagement at The Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace—originally scheduled for December 2025—pushing it to September 2026 after describing “health challenges.”
Announcing the cancellation in a video posted on Monday, Parton said, “I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way!”
She added that she can’t risk feeling dizzy while performing, joking about the demands of carrying musical instruments and the signature style that comes with her shows, including high heels and heavy stage outfits.
The singer said it will take time before she is “stage-performance ready,” and apologized to fans who bought tickets for the Las Vegas run.
“Well, you get on to Vegas, and you have a big time… And I’ll see you somewhere down the line.”
Despite the setback, Parton said she is continuing to work on music and videos, spending time with her Dollywood theme park, and developing a Broadway musical.
She also noted that she is working on plans to open a museum and a hotel in Nashville later this year.
With 10 Grammy Awards and an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Parton is known for classics such as Coat of Many Colors, I Will Always Love You, 9 to 5, and Jolene.
Her cancelled Las Vegas residency would have marked her first Strip appearance since the 1990s, when she performed alongside Kenny Rogers as part of their Islands in the Stream era.
