Ghanaian footballer Nii Odartey Lamptey married his wife in 1994, and they lived together for 21 years with three children

In 2013, Lamptey began to suspect his wife was unfaithful after hearing concerns from a friend. He secretly carried out DNA tests on all three children, which revealed he was not their biological father.

He then filed for divorce. His wife demanded 50% of his assets, but a Ghanaian court rejected her claim. The court also ordered her to leave his house, granting her only a small settlement.

Lamptey later remarried and went on to have his own biological children.
