Death at a Funeral: Pregnant Woman Dies While Fleeing From Loose Cow – A pregnant woman has collapsed and died while fleeing from a loose cow during a burial ceremony in Oba, Anambra State, Nigeria.
According to reports, chaos erupted when a cow broke free at the burial, causing mourners to run for safety.
In the confusion, the heavily pregnant woman allegedly fell, leading to her untimely death.

A close friend, Chinazor Peace Anyadiegwu, shared the heartbreaking account on social media, recounting her last interaction with the deceased just hours before the incident.
“Just two days ago, you stopped in front of my shop and were telling your daughter to shift for her sister. Not even up to four hours later, news started spreading that you had fallen while running,” she said.
The friend expressed shock at the circumstances, questioning why the woman had been running despite her condition. “I asked them, ‘Running? How? Why are you running when you are heavily pregnant?’ They told me a cow broke loose during the burial and everyone started running,” she added.
Mourners and community members have since expressed deep grief over the incident, describing it as a painful and unexpected loss.
“Chai, death is painful. Omalicha, who have you left your children with? This life is terrible… may your soul rest in peace,” the friend lamented.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
