Dancer Who Tore His Trousers at Wedding Receives Mercedes-Benz and US$25,000 From Wicknell Chivayo – Businessman and philanthropist Wicknell Chivayo has rewarded popular entertainer Prince The Amazing Dancer with a Mercedes-Benz C200, US$20,000 in cash and US$5,000 for a new wardrobe after the dancer became the subject of ridicule on social media when his trousers tore during a wedding performance.
The latest gift comes on top of the US$10,000 that Prince had already received, bringing the total value of the blessing to more than US$60,000.

Announcing the gift on X, Chivayo defended the dancer and condemned cyberbullying.
“One of the most talked about moments from my beautiful young sister’s wedding to my now millionaire brother-in-law Boss Tendai was when one of the dancers, PRINCE THE AMAZING DANCER, got his trousers torn whilst dancing with everything he had. Every drop of energy. Every ounce of passion. Every fibre of his being,” wrote Chivayo.
He said many Zimbabweans mocked the dancer instead of appreciating his dedication.
“And what did Zimbabwe do? They laughed. They mocked. They posted. They ridiculed. Chakandirwadza some of the nastiest comments I have ever read. People saying he wakasvika pakubvarura trousers trying to impress mbada.”
Chivayo said he viewed the incident differently.
“Because here is what I saw when I watched Prince dance. I did not see someone trying to impress anyone. I saw a man at work.”
He added:
“The same energy that tore those trousers? That is the energy that builds empires. The same passion that made the crowd laugh? That is the passion that makes legends.”
As part of the reward package, Prince was instructed to collect a Mercedes-Benz C200 worth US$25,000 from Enterprise Car Sales.
“Go and see Madzibaba Chipaga at Enterprise Car Sales on Thursday and collect a Mercedes-Benz C200 of your choice worth USD25,000.”
Chivayo also announced an additional cash gift and a clothing allowance.
“Madzibaba Chipaga will also hand you USD20,000 cash for fuel and upkeep. And over and above that, Madzibaba Chipaga himself will personally accompany you to 4MAY and buy you clothes, mainly trousers and other work and casual wear worth USD5,000.”
In a humorous twist, Chivayo encouraged the dancer to buy several extra pairs of trousers.
“Make sure you buy at least 10 extra pairs of trousers for any future emergencies that your energetic performances may create.”
He concluded by encouraging Prince to continue pursuing his dreams despite criticism.
“Keep dancing Prince. Keep pursuing your dreams. Keep giving everything you have every single time you step on that floor. And if a few more trousers get torn along the way, that will simply be another sign that even bigger blessings are on their way.”
