CNN Founder Ted Turner Dies At 87 – Ted Turner, the founder of CNN⁠ and one of the most influential figures in global broadcasting, has died at the age of 87.

Turner revolutionised the media industry after launching CNN, the world’s first 24-hour television news network, changing the way audiences consumed breaking news and live events.

Known for his outspoken personality, the businessman built a vast media empire that extended into sports, entertainment and philanthropy. He also owned major sports franchises, including the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

In addition to his media success, Turner was heavily involved in environmental conservation and humanitarian work through initiatives such as the United Nations Foundation.

In 1991, he was named Time magazine’s Man of the Year in recognition of his global impact on media and communications.

Turner had publicly disclosed in recent years that he was battling Lewy body dementia, a progressive neurological condition.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
