Chivayo Produces Documents Claiming He Bought Mliswa a Ford Raptor– Businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo has released documents which he says prove that he purchased a Ford Raptor for Norton legislator and former independent MP Temba Mliswa, as their public dispute continues to escalate.
The fallout began after Mliswa criticised Chivayo’s public offer of a brand-new Toyota Fortuner and US$50,000 cash to a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) legislator, describing the gesture as a form of political inducement.
In response, Chivayo dismissed the allegations and claimed that Mliswa himself had previously benefited from his generosity.
“I am actually surprised that you now appear to take a strong position against accepting my gratuity, yet recently you graciously accepted the FORD RAPTOR I paid cash USD107,000 which I bought you,” Chivayo said.
To support his claims, Chivayo shared what he described as a Croco Motors proforma invoice showing a Ford Raptor valued at US$107,500 among several vehicles purchased through IMC Communications. He also posted payment receipts, delivery details and a copy of Mliswa’s passport, alleging that the politician personally collected the vehicle.

“When I paid this invoice you then came with your mother and collected your car,” Chivayo alleged.
The businessman challenged Mliswa to deny receiving the vehicle, insisting that the documents he released were sufficient proof of the transaction.
Chivayo also addressed a separate US$10,000 debt claim dating back to 2007. He said the money was a loan he had given Mliswa while the politician was dating his sister.

According to Chivayo, he later chose not to pursue repayment after concluding that Mliswa would not have been able to afford lobola at the time.
“Ndikati gara wadya magetsi anoenda … Iko ka 10 thousand USD ka 2007 makuita kunge 1 million USD,” Chivayo said while dismissing the significance of the debt claim.
The businessman further maintained that his gifts to politicians and public figures are voluntary acts of goodwill and not bribes. He argued that ZANU PF already commands sufficient numbers in Parliament to pass legislation without requiring financial inducements.
“If I get impressed by an MP’s unapologetic support for #CAB3 and President E.D. Mnangagwa, and personally choose to reward him or her, where is the problem?” Chivayo said.
Meanwhile, Chivayo revealed that not everyone has accepted gifts from him, naming several prominent figures whom he said declined his offers.
These include religious leaders, ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife, as well as veteran musician Thomas Mapfumo.
Mliswa has not publicly responded to the latest documents released by Chivayo at the time of publication.
