Chitungwiza Man Gets 20 Years For Ritual R@pe Involving Live Lizard & Second-Hand Cond0m – A Chitungwiza man, Tatenda Justice Charamba (25), has been jailed for an effective 20 years after a court found him guilty of r@ping his ex-girlfriend three times in alleged ritual practices designed to “cleanse” her following their breakup.
During the trial, prosecutor Tendai Ruwocha revealed sh0cking details:
“The accused threatened the complainant with death, saying a sangoma had instructed him to perform rituals using a used cond0m, a snake, a feather and a red cloth.”

On one occasion, he even forced her to sleep next to a live lizard.
Magistrate Gloria Takundwa sentenced him to 10 years per count, suspending 10 years on condition of good behaviour.
The victim eventually confided in a friend, who advised her to tell her pastor.
“She was traumatised and living in fear for her life,” said the prosecutor.
A medical report confirmed the assaults.
Charamba denied the allegations but was convicted after a full trial.
