The school’s founder, Vimbainashe Matsika, said the matter came to light during routine counselling sessions with learners.

“During these sessions, some children opened up about their experiences, prompting immediate action. As a responsible authority, I reported the case to both the police and the Ministry of Education,” she said.

Matsika strongly condemned any form of child abuse, emphasising the need to safeguard learners at all times.

She urged parents and guardians to remain actively involved in their children’s lives and prioritise open communication.

“Our children require constant guidance and protection. It is important for families and schools to work together in teaching values such as self-respect, personal boundaries, and awareness,” she said.

She added that communities must remain vigilant and committed to protecting children from harm.
