China Unleashes High-Tech Arsenal in Victory Day Parade, Leaving World Leaders Awe-Struck

China showcased a cutting-edge arsenal of military technology today at Tiananmen Square’s Victory Day parade, leaving world leaders in awe as they witnessed Beijing’s rapidly expanding combat capabilities across air, sea and land.
The 80th anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression served as both a commemoration and a strategic exhibition of China’s evolving defense posture.
The event drew 26 heads of state, among them Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa—one of only two African leaders invited alongside Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, and Alexander Lukashenko.
Their presence underscored China’s growing diplomatic reach and the global significance of this military showcase.
A centerpiece of the parade was the new electronic countermeasure formation.
Five distinct systems demonstrated China’s emphasis on cyber and information warfare, from aerial and space defense suites to equipment designed specifically to sever enemy communications and disrupt digital operations.
Chinese officials hailed their anti-UAV array as a “powerful shield” against drone incursions.
This integrated defense combines missile-gun platforms, high-energy laser weapons, and high-power microwave technology into a layered approach for neutralizing aerial threats with speed and precision.
Air defense took center stage with the HongQi-20, HongQi-19, and HongQi-29 missile systems, offering long-, medium-, and short-range interception.
Four carrier-based air defense units also rolled by, highlighting Beijing’s commitment to full-spectrum protection for its expanding naval fleet.
The parade further unveiled China’s hypersonic anti-ship missiles—YingJi-19, YingJi-17, YingJi-20, and YingJi-15—capable of speeds that defy interception and signify Beijing’s intent to control regional waters.
On land, 191 box-launcher rocket systems demonstrated China’s ability to deliver both tactical and strategic rocket fire over extended distances.
Rounding out the display were the latest Type-100 tanks and armored fighting vehicles, embodying the next generation of ground assault platforms with enhanced mobility, firepower, and battlefield resilience.
Today’s spectacle sent a clear message: China is unleashing a high-tech arsenal designed to deter threats and project power well beyond its borders, leaving even seasoned world leaders visibly impressed.
