Chelsea produced a ruthless attacking display to dismantle West Ham 5-1 in a Premier League showdown that left Hammers boss Graham Potter fuming over his side’s defensive collapse.
The hosts started brightly, opening the scoring with a superbly worked goal, but their joy was short-lived.
A cheap equaliser just minutes later shifted momentum firmly in Chelsea’s favour, setting the tone for a torrid evening at London Stadium.
“Incredibly disappointed of course with the result,” Potter told BBC Sport.
“A good start, scored a great goal and then conceded a cheap goal and that probably set the tone for the evening.

“We have to do better… we have to make it harder for teams to score against us.”
Chelsea, under Enzo Maresca, have been in inspired form, and this performance showcased their attacking depth and clinical finishing.
Goals flowed from all angles as the Blues carved through a shaky West Ham backline, with the visiting fans revelling in the dominant display.
Maresca hailed his side’s composure and killer instinct.
“Very happy for today, also very happy last week. I thought the performance was good, we didn’t score then but tonight we scored five,” he said.
Rising star Estevao drew praise despite a risky flick that led to West Ham’s opener.
“He needs to adapt… but he is a fantastic player,” Maresca added, while revealing that Cole Palmer was rested after feeling discomfort in the warm-up.
Chelsea’s latest win strengthens their top-four charge and piles pressure on Potter ahead of a crucial clash with Wolves.
For now, the West Ham boss will be left pondering whether new signings or a defensive overhaul can stop the rot.
