Charms for Riches Bring Horror: Goblins Haunt Mt Darwin Farmer’s Daughters

A 71-year-old Mt Darwin farmer who turned to traditional healers for farming and gambling success is now gripped by horror, after the charms he used allegedly unleashed goblins that torment his daughters in disturbing sexual dreams.
Kosamu Mazemba, of Chironga Village under Chief Dotito, says his troubles began years ago when he secretly visited a traditional healer seeking help to improve his cotton yields.
He was given a root-based charm and instructed to bury it in his yard and field.
The results were dramatic: his harvests surged to fifteen to twenty bales of cotton and up to twenty ox-drawn carts of maize.
Encouraged by the success, Mazemba later sought another charm to boost his gambling luck.
He was told to tie a small root under his armpit during games.
The charm worked, he won over sixty United States dollars per session, enough to buy more than ten cattle.
However, both charms came with strict conditions: he was forbidden from carrying fire outside the homestead, and the gambling charm was never to be touched by a woman.
Mazemba admits that he broke both sacred rules tied to the charms.
The first mistake happened when he unknowingly carried fire outside the homestead, violating the farming charm’s condition.
The second came when his wife, unaware of the danger, washed the trousers that contained the gambling charm.
“That is when everything changed. The charms turned against me,” he said quietly.
Soon after, Mazemba claims the charms transformed into goblins that began tormenting his daughters.
They started experiencing disturbing s€xu@l dreams, unexplained illnesses, and emotional breakdowns.
One daughter allegedly dreamed of being intimate with her father.
Another died under mysterious circumstances, which the family believes was linked to the spiritual affliction.
Mazemba eventually confessed to his wife and daughters after witnessing the suffering in his home.
He sold one of his cattle to pay for cleansing rituals and sought help from spiritual healers.
“I brought this curse into my home. I am asking for forgiveness,” he said solemnly.
One of his daughters confirmed the ordeal.
She said the goblins would manifest every Wednesday, causing physical pain and emotional distress.
“They caused confusion and nearly destroyed our marriages.
“At first, our father denied everything. But later, he admitted to using the charms and begged for forgiveness,” she said.
Mazemba has since issued a public apology.
“I ask for forgiveness from my daughters, my wife, and the entire family. I regret ever seeking help from traditional healers.
“Let this be a warning to others, work hard for your money. These charms may bring riches, but they come with a price.”
