Bulawayo Fire Brigade Responds to Flooding in Western Suburbs

The Bulawayo Fire Brigade is actively responding to incidents of flooding impacting several western suburbs of the city, according to Chief Fire Officer Mr. Mhlangano Moyo on Tuesday evening.

Heavy rains began in the afternoon and continued into the night, causing significant water accumulation in various residential areas.

Mr. Moyo confirmed that the hardest-hit neighborhoods include Luveve 5, Emakhandeni, and Pelandaba West.

He explained that the flooding has largely been attributed to issues with weep holes, leading to excess water in the affected sections.

In response to the situation, emergency teams have been dispatched to assess the damage and provide assistance to residents in need.

Authorities are urging individuals to exercise caution as they navigate the flooded areas.
