Boyfriend Arrested After Girlfriend’s Body Found in Toilet Pit
A 34-year-old man, has been arrested for the suspected murder of his 29-year-old girlfriend, whose decomposing body was found in a pit toilet in South Africa.
The grisly discovery was made after the boyfriend’s friend visited his house over several days, noticing no one around since last seeing him on Thursday.
On Sunday, the friend returned to find a trail of blood leading to the backyard toilet. Alerting police, they were led by the blood trail to the toilet, where they discovered the woman’s body with multiple head and upper body injuries.
Free State police spokesperson Sgt. Mahlomola Kareli reported that officers are awaiting a forensic report to determine the cause of death.
