Bill Gates Admits Extra Marital Affairs, Apologises Over Epstein Links – Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has acknowledged having two affairs with Russian women during his marriage to Melinda French Gates, while also apologising to staff at the Gates Foundation over his past association with convicted s£x offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking during a scheduled staff town hall on February 24, Gates admitted it had been a “huge mistake” to spend time with Epstein after first meeting him in 2011.
“I apologize to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made,” Gates said.
He maintained, however, that he was not involved in any wrongdoing. “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit,” he told employees, according to a recording reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

A spokesperson said, “This was a scheduled townhall with employees, which Bill does twice a year… In the townhall, Bill spoke candidly, addressing several questions in detail, and took responsibility for his actions.”
Gates admitted to having affairs with “a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events and one with a Russian nuclear physicist who I met through business activities.” The bridge player was previously identified as Mila Antonova.
The renewed scrutiny follows the release of documents by the U.S. Justice Department, including draft emails allegedly written by Epstein. Gates’ representatives previously dismissed those claims as “absolutely absurd and completely false.”
Reflecting on his association with Epstein, Gates said: “Knowing what I know now makes it… a hundred times worse.”
He conceded the controversy has affected the foundation’s image: “It definitely is the opposite of the values of the foundation… Our work is very reputational sensitive.”
