Another Woman Files Lawsuit Against Diddy
Sean “Diddy” Combs faces another lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, accusing him and his head of security of raping a woman at his New York recording studio in 2001 and recording the assault.
The suit, brought by Thalia Graves, adds to a growing list of allegations against the music mogul, following his recent arrest and unsealing of a federal sex trafficking indictment.
Graves claims that when she was 25, she was dating a Combs executive and was lured to a meeting at Bad Boy Recording Studios by Combs and his security head, Joseph Sherman.
The lawsuit alleges that during the ride, she was given a drink likely laced with drugs. Graves says she lost consciousness and woke up bound in Combs’ office, where both men raped her, beat her, and ignored her cries for help.
At a Los Angeles news conference with attorney Gloria Allred, Graves tearfully spoke about the lasting trauma. “It has been hard for me to trust others or even feel safe in my own skin,” she said. “The emotional scars may never fully heal.”
Combs remains jailed in New York on federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His attorney insists Combs is innocent and will fight to clear his name. Sherman’s legal representation is currently unclear.
The lawsuit, filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, comes amid a two-year window allowing sexual assault survivors to pursue claims that may otherwise be time-barred.
Graves’ suit also alleges Combs recorded the assault and sold the footage as pornography.
The lawsuit seeks damages and demands that all copies of the video be destroyed.
