Andy Rinomhota Signs with Reading FC After Five Months Without a Club

Warriors midfielder Andy Rinomhota has found a new home after being without a club for the past five months. The 28-year-old has rejoined Reading FC on a deal that lasts until the end of the season.
Rinomhota’s transfer comes as a free move after he left Cardiff City when his contract ended in June.
Reading FC announced the signing, stating:
“Reading Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Andy Rinomhota on a deal until the end of the season.
“A player who needs no introduction to Royals supporters, the 28-year-old spent seven years with the club between 2015 and 2022, making 139 appearances and scoring four goals.”
Reading head coach Leam Richardson expressed his excitement about the transfer, saying:
“I’ve worked with Andy before and know exactly what he’ll bring to the squad — energy, honesty, and a real desire to win. He’s a great professional who knows this club and what it means to represent Reading. I’m delighted to have him back and I’m sure the fans will be too.”
Since this was a free transfer, Rinomhota is registered outside the transfer window and could make his second debut for Reading against Rotherham United on Saturday, November 22. He will wear the number 18 shirt.
