A Harare woman, Sharon Zhuwawo, made shocking claims in court, alleging that she was coerced into having 15 abortions by her lover, Goodwill Ndarama, under pressure from his wife, Valentine Mahlupeko. Zhuwawo also suffered a miscarriage before being dumped, as Ndarama allegedly moved on to seven other women.

In a dramatic court showdown before Magistrate Sharon Mashavire, Zhuwawo accused Mahlupeko of manipulating Ndarama into forcing her to abort. “Valentine brainwashed Goodwill to make me go through 15 abortions. She vowed I would never have a child as long as she lived,” Zhuwawo said.
Driven by anger, Zhuwawo vowed revenge, stating, “I won’t rest until she dies.” Magistrate Mashavire warned her against taking the law into her own hands, stressing that “war is not the answer.”
Zhuwawo further claimed she was not just Ndarama’s mistress but his legal wife, insisting they had been married for six years, and that Mahlupeko had been involved in their lobola negotiations.
Mahlupeko, however, sought a peace order, revealing that the conflict escalated after Ndarama left Zhuwawo for his other lovers. She accused Zhuwawo of nightly death threats and visits to her home, blaming her for the miscarriage and calling her a witch.
“I now live in fear because she threatens to kill me for things I know nothing about,” Mahlupeko said in court.
The case has left tensions high, with both women clashing over their shared relationship with Ndarama.
