Zuckerberg and T-Pain Release Tribute Song for Wife

In an unexpected shift from tech entrepreneur to musical artist, Facebook and Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg has teamed up with singer T-Pain to release a new cover of the hip-hop classic “Get Low” by Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz.

The duo is performing under the name Z-Pain, and their collaboration pays tribute to Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan.

Zuckerberg, 40, shared the inspiration for the song on Instagram, revealing that “Get Low” was playing when he first met Chan at a college party.

“Every year, we listen to it on our dating anniversary,” he explained. “This year, I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track, also available on Spotify.”

The Instagram post included a photo of the song’s lyrics, an album cover featuring both artists with acoustic guitars, and snapshots of the pair working in the studio.

Chan reacted to the song on Zuckerberg’s Instagram story, laughing and calling it “so romantic.” She also commented, “Can’t get quite as low anymore, but I’m more in love and grateful for that love than ever. Love you, MZ.”

The acoustic rendition diverges significantly from the original, with Zuckerberg delivering emotive vocals that some have likened to a Blink-182 style.

Reactions to the release have been a mix of humor and admiration. Journalist Taylor Lorenz dubbed it an “ULTIMATE wife guy power move,” while Spotify noted it as “the best anniversary gift ever.”

Meanwhile, T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, is set to perform in Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade alongside reality star Ariana Madix, Broadway singer Idina Menzel, and the country duo Dan + Shay.
