Zimbabwean talent Teshaun Murisa Signs Contract with Arsenal

Teshaun Murisa, a Zimbabwean teenager born in Britain, has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal at age 17.
The 17-year-old has been with Arsenal since he was six, and he thanked his family for their support as he marked the milestone at the club’s Sobha Realty Training Centre on Tuesday, Zimlive reports.
“I’m very happy to sign my first professional contract with such a big club like Arsenal,” Murisa said.
“I’ve been here since I was six, so this means a lot. I’m grateful to my family for always backing me. We’ve been through a lot together, so having them here makes it even more special.”
Murisa has come up through Arsenal’s youth system, part of a group that moved up through the academy together.
He helped the squad win the U16 Premier League Cup and played against Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup at Emirates Stadium.
He values the friendships formed with teammates and says they feel like a family. His regular midfield partners include Maalik Hashi, Saurap Sampang, and Max Dowman.
Murisa says the challenge now is to match the level of Arsenal’s first-team players and to keep developing.
He cites players like Declan Rice as role models who offer advice on how to reach that elite level.
